Wat Tham Khao PunAlthough we didn’t go inside Wat Tham Khao Poon this time, we made a special stop to admire the Phra That Si Mueang Kan Chedi — a beautiful golden stupa just outside the temple grounds. This serene spot also features an impressive Standing Buddha image, overlooking the lush greenery and offering a peaceful panoramic view. The chedi is built in traditional Thai style, with graceful layers and ornate detailing that gleam under the sunlight. Said to enshrine sacred relics, it symbolizes the spiritual heart of the area. While not as widely known as some of Kanchanaburi's major landmarks, its quiet charm and scenic surroundings make it well worth a visit. The large Buddha statue nearby adds a sense of calm and reverence — a gentle reminder of the spiritual presence here, even without stepping inside the main temple.
