Pyramid Complex of KhafreNext, it’s time to explore the Pyramid of Khafre (also known as Chephren), the second-largest pyramid on the Giza Plateau. What sets this one apart? Those smooth, fine limestone casing stones that once covered the entire pyramid – and if you look closely, you’ll still spot some of them clinging to the top. It’s a cool reminder of how these pyramids once gleamed under the desert sun, reflecting light across the landscape.
