Built in the late 12th or early 13th century as the official state temple of the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII, the Bayon stands at the center of Jayavarman's capital, Angkor Thom. Following Jayavarman's death, it was modified and augmented by later Hindu and Theravada Buddhist kings following their religious preferences.

Ta ProhmAfter lunch, at your own cost, you will proceed to visit Ta Prohm. Ta Prohm is one of the Buddhist temples in Siem Reap, built by King Jayavarman VII in 1186. This temple was dedicated to the King's mother and made in the form of Prajnaparamita ("Perfection of Wisdom " or the name of the mother of Buddha). Ta Prohm was initially named Rajavihara. At approximately 05:00 pm, you'll arrive at your hotel in Siem Reap, where the tour will end.
