Kamakhya TempleKamakhya devi temple situated on the Nilachal parvat in Guwahati is one of the 51 Shakti Pithas of India and an important pilgrimage destination especially for Tantric worshippers. A stairway through a bazaar of colourful shops takes one to the temple. It is a monument with both historical and religious importance.

It has galleries dedicated to historical artefacts, photographs, arts and crafts, handloom products etc. It also boasts of some of the best views of the Brahmaputra river.

Sri Umananda TempleUmananda temple on Umananda Island is dedicated to Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati. It is the smallest inhabited river island. Guests will cross a ferry to reach the temple and come back.
