The Great wall of JiankouYour friendly private driver will pick you up at your prearranged time, and take you to enjoy a fun Great Wall hiking day from Jiankou to Mutianyu section. This is the most classic hiking route on the Great Wall, taking about 5 hours to complete a distance of 10 km (6 miles) from Jiankou to Mutianyu section. Upon arrival, your driver will show you the way to get on Jiankou Great Wall and which way to heading to Mutianyu Great Wall. Then, start your self-guided tour towards Mutianyu. Jiankou is one of the most challenging sections of the Great Wall, as it is a completely wild Great Wall, which is very popular to photographers and advanced hikers.

Mutianyu Great WallMutianyu section of the Great Wall boasts the most beautiful scenery of all the sections. The real hiking starts after climbing up to Zhengbeilou. The majority part of Jiankou Great Wall has no steps, and it's slippery and steep slopes (almost 90 degrees). After you self-guided tour, your friendly driver meets you up at Mutianyu Great Wall Ticket office and then you will be transferred back to your hotel in Beijing. Of course, you can add-on a friendly hiking guide service upon booking, if you need someone to hike with you and tell the stories along the way. Warmly reminder: 1. Comfortable shoes and sunscreens. 2. Carry bottles of water in your travel bags. Your tour operator also provides 2-3 bottle/person. 3:The Tour operator cannot guarantee an English-speaking driver. Due to their availability, you may have a Chinese speaking driver, but they know exactly where to pick you up and where to drop you off.
