Overview
Across the Grand Harbour, to the south of Valletta, is the historical fortified town of Vittoriosa, easily reached by means of a ferry boat. Many historians refer to the area as the cradle of Maltese history offering shelter to who ever took over the Maltese Islands.

The guide will have t red umbrella and will give a brief introduction to the city before proceeding with the tour .You will enter Vittoriosa through the fortified gates and walk past the Inquisitor's Palace, Auberges of the knights, right towards the core of this medieval town. Along the way the guide will highlight the most important buildings and will lead you down towards the harbour. This 2 hour walk is the most comprehensive Vittoriosa walk possible, planned so as to not leave out anything worth seeing. During this tour you will learn about Vittoriosa's significance throughout the ages , the important role it played during the Great Siege of 1565 and the Second World War. The walk will end by the Freedom Monument, along the Grand Harbour.
