Plaza de la AduanaThe first name with which this square was baptized, Antigua Real Contaduría was given because the offices of the Royal Officials were there. Name that people would change by Customs Plaza in the 1970s, since the Administration of Customs was organized in the same building. Here rests a statue in homage to Christopher Columbus that was placed on October 12, 1894, the Cabildo called Plaza de Colón, name which would change at the beginning of the twentieth century by order of the town hall as a posthumous tribute to the illustrious Cartagena who was four times President of the Republic, being called from that day forward Plaza de Rafael Núñez.

Plaza de BolivarThis urban space is an emblematic site of the city, full of historical and cultural symbolism, here is the statue of our liberator Simon Bolivar. Around the park are several interesting buildings, among which stand out, is the Palace of the Inquisition in the Baroque style, the cathedral of Cartagena Herrera style, the Palace of Proclamation where the town hall functioned and until 2016 was the headquarters of the governorship of the Department of Bolívar, the Banco de la República building and the Gold Museum.
