Overview
Enjoy a truly unique hands-on foodie experience immersed in traditional Puerto Rican hospitality. Hosted by our resident Chef Instructor with a proud Puerto Rican heritage, you will gain a deeper understanding of the history of Puerto Rican culture and cuisine and guaranteed to leave with a full belly!
In this fun and interactive class, you will be guided step-by-step in preparing some well renowned recipes that capture the true essence of Puerto Rico's gastronomic heritage. Once having gained a brief insight into Puerto Rican history and way of living, you will be taught some valuable knife skills. You will then use these skills in learning how to recreate two of the most classic Puerto Rican dishes, pork Mofongo and Beef Empanadas. Both of these dishes can be adapted to Vegetarian friendly versions. We will then finish the class on a sweeter note by dishing up some dessert Empanadas using guava paste! Once you have dished up your Puerto Rican spread, sit down with you new-found foodie friends and celebrate your hard work eating family style!
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you don’t already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the baking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who’s happier observing and assisting.
When giving as a gift, your recipient can choose a date at their convenience during a booking process. Otherwise, you can choose one after checkout and voucher redemption.

You will be seated with your booking party and will work together throughout the class by sharing ingredients and equipment. Please arrive 15 minutes early to check in. To ensure the safety and enriching experience of all participants, we require children aged 14 to 17 be accompanied by a parent or guardian during our cooking classes. Classes are intended for adults 18+. Drinks are NOT included in the ticket price. Guests who are 21 and over are invited to BYOB (beer, wine, and champagne only).
