Overview
A full-day guided adventure ride through Queenstown's iconic backcountry, gravel roads and off-road terrain. Ride with local guides and experience the South Island beyond the tourist roads.
Depending on conditions and rider experience, routes may include Skippers Canyon Road, Nevis Road and Paradise Valley - each chosen to match your level and give the best scenery on the day.
Ideal for first-time adventure riders, confident road riders wanting to try off-road, travellers short on time, couples and small groups. No off-road experience needed, but a valid motorcycle licence is required (not for absolute beginners).
Ride a Yamaha Tenere 700, GasGas 700, CFMoto 450MT or Suzuki DR650. Bike, local guide, fuel, insurance, photos and video, and Queenstown pickup are included.
We're a Queenstown-based motorcycle company, not a generic tour operator: locally scouted routes, properly set-up bikes, and guides who are riders first. Season: October - April.

Skippers CanyonRoute option: Skippers Canyon Road. Known as the gold diggers' trail, this historic road winds deep into the Southern Alps to the old gold-mining settlement of Skippers - dramatic cliffs, narrow gravel sections and views that have featured in many movies.

GlenorchyRoute option: Glenorchy & Paradise Valley. A scenic ride along Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy, then onto gravel roads into Paradise Valley - Lord of the Rings filming locations, waterfalls, snow-capped peaks and, for the brave, a few river crossings. Route is chosen on the day to suit conditions and rider experience.

Nevis RoadRoute option (intermediate to advanced riders): Nevis Road. A remote high-country gravel route behind The Remarkables range, running through the Nevis Valley towards Garston and Bannockburn.
If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
