Your adventure begins early with a hotel pick-up between 4:00 and 4:20 am. Settle in for a scenic 2-hour drive through the quiet morning landscapes of the Cusco region, heading toward the town of Cusipata-Paucarpata.
Once you arrive, enjoy a delicious Andean breakfast to fuel up for the trek ahead. Surrounded by crisp mountain air and peaceful views, it’s the perfect start to a big day.
After breakfast, continue your journey by vehicle for another 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach Llaqto—the official starting point of the hike. Along the way, take in views of the snow-capped Wiñay Ritty mountain, whose name translates to “Forever Young.”
From Llaqto, begin your guided hike to Rainbow Mountain. The trek takes approximately 1 hour 40 minutes to 2 hours and passes through scenic valleys, rolling hills, and multicolored mineral landscapes. As you climb to 5,020 meters (16,466 feet), you'll be rewarded with the iconic view of the Mountain of Seven Colors, one of Peru’s most breathtaking natural wonders. Take time to rest, enjoy the panoramic scenery, and capture unforgettable photos.
Return to Llaqto for lunch, then back to Cusco.
