The Church of Three Crosses, located near the end of the Red Valley hike. It takes its name from the three beautifully carved crosses on the ceiling — a symbol of the Holy Trinity. The church dates back to the 9th–10th centuries and was carved entirely out of soft volcanic rock. Though its decoration is simple, the geometric reliefs and crosses reflect the spiritual devotion of early Christian monks who once lived here. Although parts of it have collapsed over time, its high barrel vaults, wide nave, and traces of early frescoes still reveal its grand and monumental character — a true testimony to the early Christian faith in Cappadocia.
