Robben Island MuseumYour experience begins with an accredited guide/driver who will pick you up from your hotel lobby and transfer you to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island at the V&A Waterfront. The guide will assist you with check-in and direct you to the ferry boarding area. You will board the ferry for a scenic journey across Table Bay to Robben Island, enjoying views of Cape Town and the coastline. On arrival, you will join the official guided tour, starting with a bus tour around the island where you will see key landmarks including the Lime Quarry. The tour continues with a visit to the Robben Island Maximum Security Prison, where you will learn about the history of political prisoners and see Nelson Mandela’s Prison Cell.
