Duration: 4 hours

  • We will invite you to sample a typical snack from these two regions so that you can share a pleasant moment with your host.

Meeting point
We will meet outside the bookstore “Fondo de cultura económica Rosario Castellanos”. Your guide will bring a black or white tshirt

  • Discover the Bella Época Cultural Centre, located in the Condesa neighbourhood. A hidden gem for many people. This cultural space was remodelled by one of the most influential architects in our country. It includes the Rosario Castellanos Bookshop, one of the largest in Latin America with more than 35,000 titles, as well as the Lido Cinema and the Luis Cardoza y Aragón Gallery, an important venue for the promotion of culture and for critical discussion and dialogue on various artistic disciplines, including cinema.
  • Marvel at the architecture of the parish church of the first saint in America, Santa Rosa de Lima. An important religious centre for the local community, it stands out for its simple yet elegant architecture, with traditional elements that reflect the spirituality of the place.
  • We will walk along one of the most famous avenues in Condesa, Avenida Ámsterdam. It is home to incredible shops, cafés, restaurants, art galleries, iconic architecture and many hidden gems in an incredibly green area full of trees and life. You will soon realise why it is one of the most sought-after areas in the city and you will discover why this place is called Condesa. We will take you to one of our favourite cafés and art galleries, a surprise for music lovers.
  • We will arrive at Parque México, considered the heart of La Condesa. We can enjoy fountains, trails, recreational areas, surrounded by lovely restaurants. Here we can breathe in a healthy, family-friendly atmosphere where locals and tourists alike enjoy coming to stroll and enjoy nature in the middle of the city.
  • Mercado de Medellin
Welcome to South Rome. We will begin our tour at a market that pays tribute to Latin American countries, the Medellín Market. Here we can find products from countries such as Colombia, Cuba, and Venezuela, as well as traditional Mexican sweets, seasonal fruits, huaraches, and handicrafts.
  • We will take you to one of our favourite places in Roma, a space in the city that has been rescued by environmentalists and converted into an urban garden and green lung. With projects focusing on ecology, environmental education, permaculture, bio-architecture, agriculture, sustainability and the knowledge of indigenous peoples. A true green gem in Roma.
  • We will pass by one of the most emblematic buildings in early 20th-century Rome. A former market converted into an incredible hotel with designer shops, restaurants, taquerías, home of the famous tacos del Valle, and Café de nadie, one of North America's most renowned bars for its intellectual atmosphere
  • Almost at the end of our tour, we will visit MAIA CONTEMPORARY. A contemporary art gallery that exhibits works by established and emerging national and international artists who explore ontological themes with original proposals. You will love the old mansion where it is located, the proposals and the whole artistic atmosphere
  • We will finish at Rio de Janeiro Square, where we will show you the replica of the fountain of ‘El David’ as well as a building that is incredible for its eclectic architecture and full of myths. We won't say goodbye without first recommending the best restaurants, bars, nightclubs, art galleries, street food, and designer shops in Roma and Condesa.
