  • Museo de la Llama y la Sal
The Colchani Population is a small community located on the shores of the Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, where the locals are dedicated to the exploitation of salt and the creation of handicrafts. In this town, you will be able to see how the inhabitants take part of the salt extracted from the salar and use it to create beautiful and original handicrafts. The creativity and skill of the Colchani artisans is truly impressive. Among the handicrafts that can be found are picture frames, jewelry boxes, typical animals of the region and other accessories made with salt and decorated with elements of the Andean culture. In addition to salt handicrafts, in the Colchani Population you can also find beautiful textiles, traditional fabrics and functional or decorative ceramics. Everything sold in this place is handmade and unique.
