  • 8:30 AM — Departure from Beirut Your driver meets the group at your hotel and heads north along the coastal highway before climbing into the Lebanese mountains toward the Qadisha Valley. (pass by)
  • Qadisha Valley
Qadisha Valley — UNESCO World Heritage gorge Pull over at the rim and take in the full scale — sheer limestone walls dropping hundreds of metres to the valley floor below, dotted with ancient monastery caves carved into the cliff face over seventeen centuries. Qadisha means "Holy" in Aramaic. Your driver explains who lived in these inaccessible cliffs, why they chose them, and what remains. Multiple photo stops along the rim.
  • Gibran Museum
Khalil Gibran Museum — The Prophet, in the place that made him Housed in a former Carmelite monastery carved into the cliff above Bcharre — the museum holds Gibran's original oil paintings, watercolours, and personal manuscripts. The Prophet has sold over 100 million copies in more than 100 languages — one of the best-selling books of the 20th century. His tomb is in the cave chapel at the heart of the building, exactly where he asked to be buried. Your driver covers Gibran's life, his years in New York, and the philosophy behind The Prophet in the village and landscape that shaped everything he wrote.
  • The Cedars of God
Cedars of God — 45-minute hike through a UNESCO-protected grove Walk among the Cedars of God at 2,000 metres above sea level — a UNESCO-protected grove where some trees exceed 1,000 years and trunks measure more than 14 metres in circumference. These are the descendants of the forests that built Phoenician ships, Solomon's Temple, and Egyptian palaces. A 45-minute hike along the marked trail at your own pace — easy terrain, suitable for all fitness levels, spectacular mountain scenery. Your driver covers the ecology and the conservation story of Lebanon's most emblematic tree throughout.
  • Bcharre
Lunch in Bcharre — included Mountain Lebanese mezze at a local Bcharre restaurant — grilled meats, fresh bread, Qadisha Valley views. Fully included in the tour price — nothing extra to pay.
  • Deir Qozhaya
Kozhaya Monastery — first printing press in the Middle East Descend into the Qadisha Valley for the day's final and most atmospheric stop — the Monastery of Saint Anthony of Kozhaya, founded in the 12th century and carved directly into the limestone cliff face of the valley wall. Cave chapels, ancient stone cells, and the complete silence of the gorge. Inside: a pilgrimage cave active for over eight centuries, and the first printing press ever used in the Middle East — brought here by Maronite monks in the 16th century to print liturgical texts in Arabic and Syriac. Your driver connects the printing press story to the broader history of knowledge and faith in the Levant.
  • Return to Beirut — approx. 5:30–6:30 PM Drop-off at your Beirut hotel — a UNESCO gorge, the author of The Prophet, a thousand-year-old cedar grove, and the first printing press in the Middle East. All in one private day in Lebanon's extraordinary north. (pass by)
