Sigiriya The Ancient Rock FortressThe tour will commence from either Colombo or Kandy or Negambo. The first stop over will be Dambulla and then to Sigiriya. A safari is also organized after the visit to Sigiriya. Sigiriya is another UNESCO world heritage site and located here is the famous fortress of Sigiriya which is one of the most popular places to visit in Sri Lanka. One of the ancient Kings of Sri Lanka, built his kingdom and palace on top of the Lion’s Rock. You will also observe well preserved frescoes engraved into the rock. The entrance to this fortress is through a lion’s paw.
