The final destination is not known in advance because it depends on the amount of cloud cover and nighttime activity. The drive will be as short as possible, and there may be multiple stops because the lights can be difficult to find. It is frequently a waiting game for this stunning phenomenon, but it is always worthwhile. If the guide identifies a site as a decent location, we might stay in that spot.
