The tour starts with a scenic 40-minute road trip around the fjords and mountain passes. On arrival, we learn how to use the snowshoes before we start our adventure!
We hike to one of the smaller summits with majestic views over the surrounding mountains and fjords (if, of course, the weather allows!). During the hike we stop a few times for rests, photos and to share our knowledge about our region and the Arctic environment. At the summit we take a longer break to enjoy a hot drink and try some delicious lefse – a local sweet snack.
We hike in snowy mountain terrain towards a summit located on approx. 400 m so a moderate level of fitness and health is required. The tour is not suitable for guests with a heart condition or limited physical abilities.
