Your journey begins with a comfortable, scenic drive descending from the highlands into the Grijalva River valley. Upon arrival at the riverbank, board a covered speedboat for a thrilling 2-hour guided boat cruise through the canyon. As you navigate the winding river, you’ll look up at sheer limestone cliffs soaring over 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) above you. Keep your camera ready—this protected ecosystem is home to wild American crocodiles, spider monkeys swinging in the canopy, and colorful native birds. You’ll also witness unique geological formations, including the famous "Christmas Tree" (Árbol de Navidad) waterfall draped in moss.
