Over the course of seventeen years, twenty thousand workers toiled to construct this shrine to Shah Jahan's cherished wife. "Absolutely the highlight of the tour" is the abundance of white marble and semiprecious stones. Entrance fees to the Tajmahal is INR 1300 for foreigners and INR 250 for Indians.

It includes many fairy-tale palaces, like Shah Jahan's Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, as well as audience halls like the Diwan-i-Khas and two stunning mosques. Entrance fees is INR 600 for foreigners and INR 50 for Indians.
