Cap SpartelYour tour begins with a smooth pick-up from the cruise terminal, followed by a comfortable ride in an air-conditioned vehicle. As you make your way through Tangier’s vibrant bay area and city center, you’ll pass key landmarks like Boulevard Mohamed V, Avenue Pasteur, and the historic Place de France. On the way to Cap Spartel, enjoy views of the lush Parc Perdicaris, showcasing Tangier’s natural beauty. At Cap Spartel—where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean—you’ll stop at one of the city’s most iconic viewpoints, marked by a famous signpost. You'll also visit the 1864 Cap Spartel Lighthouse, dramatically set on the cliffs. With panoramic ocean views, it’s an ideal spot for stunning photos before continuing your journey.

Achakkar BeachAfter visiting Cap Spartel, enjoy a scenic drive along Tangier’s stunning Atlantic coastline to Achakkar Beach, a favorite local spot. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to experience a camel ride on the beach—available at an additional cost. Both short and longer rides are offered. Whether you choose to ride or simply take photos with the camels, it’s a fun and memorable moment during your Tangier visit.

Your tour continues with an immersive journey through Tangier’s vibrant old town, the Medina. As you pass through its gates, you’ll feel transported back in time—surrounded by winding alleys, historic architecture, and the daily rhythms of local life. Over the next four hours, you’ll explore the Medina’s rich culture, connect with friendly locals, and experience its unique charm firsthand. Highlights include visits to Grand Socco, Petit Socco, and the Kasbah, Tangier’s ancient hilltop fortress. You’ll also see the Great Mosque—originally a Roman temple, later a church—and tour Dar El Mekhzen, the former Sultan’s palace. (More details on these landmarks follow.) During your walk, you’ll have time to stop for a traditional Moroccan lunch (not included in the tour price) and explore local shops, with your guide offering tips for finding authentic, high-quality souvenirs.

Tangier CasbahContinuing with your Tangier private walking tour, you will mostly approach the Kasbah (the fortress) through either of the two gates, Bab Haha or Bab El-Assa. Then, you’ll find yourself in Place du Mechouar (often referred to as Place de la Kasbah). The Kasbah was a place for the local leader to live and a defense when the city was under attack. Thus, the Kasbah has high walls and it was built overseeing the bay, on a hilltop, so that it could be more easily defended. Musee de la KasbahThe Kasbah Museum or the Kasbah Museum of Mediterranean Cultures has been housed since 1922 by the Kasbah Palace known as "Dar-Al-Makhzen" or the Sultan's Palace in Tangier. The building occupies the eastern part of the Kasbah of Tangier. The site has undergone before the successive constructions of the residence of the Portuguese governors "Dorons Praefecti" between 1471 and 1661, then a larger "Upper Castle" which was the residence of the English governors from 1662 to 1684.
