Join me to experience the most unique route in the west of Tenerife. This route was recently discovered by me and will allow you to have unforgettable impressions.
We will walk with you through a pine forest to reach the highest point of 1300 meters in the Teno Mountains. At this stage, we will see a variety of landscapes - Mount Teide, the area of the last eruption - the Chinyero volcano, and the well-known road leading to Masca.
Next, we head towards Roque de Tarucho, which is clearly visible from many viewpoints. You will be among the first to visit it. The journey there takes 90 minutes and will require some physical effort from you; at times, you'll need to use both hands.
At the summit of Roque de Tarucho, a stunning view will unfold before you, overlooking the Masca Gorge, neighboring islands, and the ocean. We will return via a different trail through a neighboring gorge.
On this section, we won't encounter any people; only the goats will curiously observe us.
All of this can be seen by completing just an 8 km circular route with an elevation gain of 450 meters.
