First we will ride the Zion Shuttle to the trail head (required).
Riverside Walk
After a short shuttle ride we will take the Riverside Walk, which is a mile long. The canyon walls will get narrower and narrower, and the scenery more beautiful with every step we take. The Virgin River is spectacular, the cliffs are incredible and the trail is flat and easy (for the most part).
The Narrows
We will step into the water at the end of the Riverside Walk, and begin your adventure, wading/hiking upstream for 2 miles or 2 hours, whichever comes first. We will experience the wonders of one of the deepest slot canyons in the world, the amazing water-created cliffs and the deep blue of the sky above. Absolutely wonderful!
After that, we turn around for the return hike, still in the cool waters of the Virgin River. The wonder of deep canyons is that the views going back are completely different from the views going in!
