The Shushmanets ritual complex, dating back to the 4th century, is also used as a tomb. Its uniqueness is due to its architectural decision - the only Thracian temple with columns both in the antechamber and in the chamber.

The tomb of Golyama Kosmatka was opened in the autumn of 2004 and is known all over Europe. The mound was poured in the first half of the 5th century as a sacred hill. Later, in the same century, the trench was probably dug up and the monumental temple that fascinates visitors today is built.

Like many other tombs in the Valley of the Thracian Kings and the Grifonite, it was built in the southern part of an already existing mound. Here are estimated at least two periods in the use of the tomb.
