Initially designed for King Zog in the 1930s by Italian architects Julio Berte’ and Gherardio Bosio, it stands as a unique example of "monumental rationalism." The 74-hectare park, landscaped by renowned European designers, includes a church for Queen Geraldine, sculptures, and royal gardens with fountains, statues, and a variety of trees, some over 70 years old. The palace, inaugurated in 1941, has been the residence for several of Albania's presidents since 1990, maintaining its original form through decades.
