Museo de Sitio y Santuario Arqueologico de PachacamacPACHACAMAC SITE MUSEUM We will visit the Site Museum within the Pachacamac Sanctuary, where more than 290 registered pieces of various materials such as ceramics, wood, textiles, among others, are exhibited. One of the emblematic pieces of the museum is the “Idol of Pachacamac”.

PachacamacPACHACAMAC ARCHAEOLOGICAL CENTER Continuing with our tour, we will visit the Aclawasi “Temple of the Virgins of the Sun”, a sacred site where women selected for their manual, culinary skills or physical beauty lived and worked, and who were at the service of the Inca empire. The Aclawasi of Pachacamac was one of the largest and most important on the coast. Likewise, we will appreciate the different buildings that are part of this impressive place, buildings from cultures such as Lima, Wari, Ichma and Quechua, which left testimony of their ingenuity and ability to survive in a territory as adverse as the coastal desert.

Pachacamac RuinsAs soon as we visit the sacred precincts in the lower part of the sanctuary, we will head down an elevated ramp that will take us to the "Temple of the Sun", the jewel of Pachacamac. Finally we will border “The Temple of the Sun” or “Punchao kancha”, built of adobes and considered probably the largest temple on the entire coast, representing a great organizational effort for its construction.
