Trolltunga Via Ferrata with the Himmelstigen Sky Ladder, the most extraordinary way to immerse yourself in the breathtaking Norwegian mountains and the iconic Trolltunga rock formation.
The adventure begins with a scenic 4 km stroll along beautiful Ringedalen Lake on a gravel road.
Prepare for the challenge ahead as we tackle the first steep kilometer of the traditional trail, leading us to the Via Ferrata, an exciting climbing route. After a quick lunch, we’ll go over safety instructions.
The Via Ferrata features three walls, with the highest reaching 250 m. This route is manageable for those who can handle the regular Trolltunga trail, resembling a ladder climb (level C).
You’ll be securely harnessed throughout the ascent.As you climb, enjoy stunning views of Ringedalsvatnet and the majestic Folgefonna Glacier.
Midway, take on the optional Sky Ladder, Himmelstigen—a thrilling 50 m climb that adds excitement and fantastic photo opportunities!
From the top of the climb, we have the final 3 km hike to Troll's Tongue.As you arrive, enjoy the awe-inspiring view and capture the perfect “needle picture.” After soaking in the beauty, we’ll hike back along the main trail.
