Meeting point
We meet in Reddacliff Place, directly opposite the entrance to the Former Treasury Building, where there are two large metal balls close together.
Return details
We finish at a bar on the Brisbane River, a 10 - 15 minute walk from where we started.

Queen Street MallWe will walk a section of the Queen Street Mall, visiting Regent Theatre and Brisbane Arcade.

Walk down Burnett Lane, home to some of Brisbane's best small bars as well as street art murals telling stories of the city's past.

We will walk in front of Brisbane City Hall and you will learn about the building, but we do not go inside.

Wander through Heritage Lanes, a re-activated laneway off Ann St, former home to Brisbane's fruit and vegetable market. See art by Aboriginal artist Megan Cope.

Anzac SquareWe will walk through Anzac Square and the gardens, learning about the significance of this part of the city.

General Post Office (GPO)Formerly a jail, barracks for female convicts, a house for the first free settlers of Brisbane and finally a post office, this building has a storied history.
- Learn about this new attraction, from afar (where we end for a beer gives a great view of the river and Howard Smith Wharves). (pass by)
- We finish at a bar with views of the Story Bridge, but we do not cross the bridge or get onto it. (pass by)
