Dutch settlement, the British, and the Revolutionary War may come to mind. Yes, we'll talk finance on this tour. Sure, we'll explore NYC's Dutch roots, the Redcoats, and the Sons of Liberty. But this old part of New York City is also a saint's birthplace, a Lenape hunting trail, anarchists, the invention of takeout food, vandals, an infamous ghost, the former home of a wild turkey, immigrants, and obscure monuments. It's dark alleys and twisty streets and secrets. This tour, then, is a spotlight on unexpected Wall Street.

This tour ends outside a historic tavern. People may choose to eat at the tavern or visit the tavern museum at the end of the tour. Suzanne will provide directions for the nearest subway station or provide any other requested information.

Stone StreetStop to discuss the history of cobble stones and fires, before moving on to an important archeological site.

Fraunces Tavern MuseumThe tour will wrap up here. People may choose to stay at the tavern and visit the museum, or head back to South Ferry.
