In a peaceful indoor garden inspired by a traditional Valencian huerto, participants will learn about the history of Spanish and Valencian azulejos, from medieval and Renaissance designs to modern styles.
Guided by a local Valencian artist, the activity blends art, history, and hands-on creativity as you explore traditional colors, symbols, and patterns. Participants will then design and hand-paint their own ceramic tile, choosing a historical style or creating a personal design.
By the end of the workshop, participants will take home a hand-painted ceramic tile as a meaningful Valencian souvenir and a lasting memory of Spain’s rich artistic tradition.
Please note: acrylic paints are used, so we recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
