St. Paul de MausoleDiscover the surroundings of Saint-Paul de Mausole, the former monastery and asylum where Vincent van Gogh stayed and painted some of his most famous works, including "The Starry Night" and "Irises". Just across the road, you can also admire the remains of Glanum, an ancient Roman town rich in history. Please note that Saint-Paul de Mausole is still a functioning care facility, so the visit focuses on the exterior and the final section of the Saint-Rémy Van Gogh Walk, where panels reproduce some of the artist’s best-known paintings in the landscapes that inspired him. Entry to the site and the replica of Van Gogh’s room are not included, and there is insufficient time during this tour to visit the interior. Glanum can be admired from nearby, but entrance to the archaeological site is not included.
