Las BovedasA former military garrison, built in the late 18th century, it is now an excellent craft market where you can spend time browsing and, if you wish, purchase the most beautiful local handicrafts.

He is the fourth generation of a traditional coffee-growing family. If you're interested, this is the place to buy the best specialty coffee (not commercial).

Teatro Adolfo Mejia ( Teatro Heredia )A must-see, or rather... you can't miss the former Claustro de la Merced, which currently serves as the headquarters of Cartagena's public university and a theater where important events such as the classical music festival, literature festival, film festival, and many others are held. For Gabriel García Márquez fans, his ashes and a small museum are located there.

Plaza Santo DomingoThis is the site of the city's oldest civil buildings, namely the Convent of Santo Domingo. It also houses a sculpture by Fernando Botero, a famous Colombian sculptor and painter born in Medellín, Antioquia.

Catedral Santa Catalina de AlejandriaOne of the oldest churches in Cartagena, the Cathedral of Saint Catherine of Alexandria in Cartagena de Indias is a stunning example of colonial architecture and a historical and artistic treasure of the city. Founded in the 16th century, the cathedral has witnessed the history of Cartagena de Indias and has been restored and preserved to be appreciated by current and future generations.
