For the manta rays in Manta Bay Nusa Penida Bali, it is a type of Coral Manta (Manta alfredi). This type of manta is the second largest type of manta rays after the Oceanic Manta. Although it has a long tail, it is not poisonous, so swimming with manta rays is very safe. In addition to having a long tail, this manta ray has the largest brain when compared to other bony fish. Crystal BayCrystal Bay is, together with Gamat Bay, one of the best sites to go snorkeling in Nusa Penida. Discover the coral and marine life of this beautiful spot, you can see turtles quite regularly, as well as a lot of different fish and very colorful coral. This site can get very crowded during mola-mola ocean sunfish season (July-October). While it is a great snorkeling site to spot mola-molas, there are plenty of other sites around Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan. Where the chance to meet the exclusive fish is just as good and where the smaller number of snorkeler and boats makes the experience a lot nicer.

Pasih Uug BeachThe journey to Broken Beach "Pasih Uug" is an overland adventure through Nusa Penida’s rugged limestone terrain. Most of the pathways are rocky and unpaved. The majority of people rent a motorbike to reach Broken Beach. It will take around two hours to reach this corner from the main harbour area in Nusa Penida’s north-western tip. Once you get to Broken Beach, you’ll be rewarded by a truly sweeping seascape.

Angel's BillabongAngel's Billabong located nearby Pasih Uug (Broken Beach), another popular site with unique limestone formations. The naturally formed rock lagoon offers a scenic seascape. You can descend into its crystal-clear rock pools for a swim or a soak, but only during low tide. The rock pools are one of the must-sees for visitors to Nusa Penida. The island itself is famous for its beautiful cliffs and pristine coastlines.

Kelingking BeachIn Kelingking Beach you can enjoy the sweeping views from a purpose-built platform, which is bordered by bamboo fences. If you dare the challenging trek down to the beach, make sure it’s during low tide. Some sections of the path can be steep, requiring a bit of rock climbing, especially on the way back up. Locals have put rocks and bamboos to aid visitors over the years. Once you’ve reached the sand, you’ll have it all to yourself most of the time.
