Killiney HillAfter meeting your guide at one of our central Dublin pickup points, settle into our smaller coach and travel south along Dublin Bay. At Killiney Hill, enjoy a short walk to a panoramic viewpoint with spectacular views across the bay and coastline before we turn inland towards the Wicklow Mountains. Stop at Avoca Handweavers in Kilmacanogue for a relaxed coffee break. Enjoy a coffee and freshly baked scone, browse the shop and discover a range of Irish gifts and locally inspired products. Food and shopping are at your own expense. Winter itinerary (1 November–4 April): Avoca is normally not included as we operate a shorter route designed around the reduced winter daylight.
- Leaving Avoca, our smaller coach takes a route larger tour coaches can’t, travelling through Enniskerry and Glencree and deep into the Wild Wicklow Mountains towards the spectacular Sally Gap. (pass by)
-
Sally GapContinuing our drive through the Wicklow Mountains National Park and Sally Gap. View the park’s upper slopes, blanketed in heather and bog before stopping at Lough Tay (The Guinness Lake" ) a true wonder and film location for Braveheart, PS I Love You and Vikings TV series.
-
Afterward, your group will visit a traditional Irish pub for lunch (own expense). Relax, savour Irish home-cooking and sip on a creamy Guinness before heading to the glacial valley of Glendalough. Alternative options available if a pub lunch is not your thing. Ask you guide for info.
-
