The tour highlights a wide range of themes surrounding Women in Art, their representation in paintings, and the influence their own work had on those who came after. Discover the art of 17th Century Artemisia Gentileschi, who was influenced by the naturalistic style of Caravaggio. Find out why she chose to paint biblical narratives about women, and why she portrayed herself as the main character.
