For 12 years Berlin was the capital of the Third Reich. Hitler’s reign began in 1933, spread across Europe and collapsed with the Battle of Berlin in 1945.

Discover the consequences of the ‘Thousand Year Reich’, including the ‘T4’ euthanasia program, the killing of hundreds of thousands of Sinti and Roma, and the murder of millions of Jewish victims in the Holocaust. The tour will finish in the place in which the Nazis' reign of terror came to an end - in front of Germany’s parliament, the Reichstag, where Soviet forces were placing their flag above a ruined Berlin, whilst the Führer prepared to commit suicide not even 1km away.
