  • Start underground — literally — in the cellar of one of Amsterdam’s finest cheese shops. Here, you’ll sample aged and young Gouda paired with a seasonal Dutch liquorette or port. A rich, flavorful beginning to your local food adventure.
  • Let's take a peak into a brown bar that has been serving sailors for over 400 years. (pass by)
  • Writers, students, bookworms, and artists gather on Spui market — especially on weekends. It's authentically Amsterdam, and the perfect place to visit an excellent fishmonger. (pass by)
  • Better than Belgian waffles? We’ll let you be the judge. At this 200-year-old bakery, stroopwafels are made right before your eyes — gooey, crispy, and sticky in the best way possible.
  • We will point out where to find a 15th century hidden garden with a secret house church! If time allows it - we can even peek inside. (pass by)
  • Try "Dutch Sashimi", the herring we eat for more then 1000 years! Served by a family business known to serve the best seafood since 1982. Only for early birds: tours that start lastest 4pm.
  • Flower Market (Bloemenmarkt) – Stroll past Amsterdam’s world-famous floating flower stalls on the Singel Canal, where tulips bulbs and blooms brighten the city year-round. Note: Most tours include this stop, but every guide’s route is unique. (pass by)
  • Taste Duch pralines! The Dutch are #1 cacao importers in the world ($1.54 billion), we even eat chocolate for breakfast.
  • See the 400 year old University where young intellectuals sharpen their mind with Dutch Spirits and Bitterballen (pass by)
  • The Jordaan
Discover the enchanting Jordaan district of Amsterdam, renowned for its cozy brown cafés. Immerse yourself in the rich history as you savor the heavenly delight of poffertjes, fluffy miniature pancakes drenched in butter. Treat yourself to this delightful experience and raise a glass of local brews to complete your unforgettable journey trough Dutch food culture!
  • Amsterdam Canal Ring
Take a culinary journey through Dutch cuisine against the stunning backdrop of Amsterdam's 17th century canal rings.
  • Taste the meaning of "Dutch Courage" in a centuries old "Brown" Pub famous for it's apple pie and local beer. Cheers to a great tour.

From a small fishing village to a global trading powerhouse in the Golden Age, Amsterdam's wild transformation is reflected in its eclectic food culture.
  • Anne Frank House (Ask guide if walk by) – See one of Amsterdam’s most moving landmarks, where the famous diary was written during WWII. Note: Most tours pass by or end within walking distance, but every guide’s route is unique. (pass by)

  • Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
  • Service animals allowed
  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Every tour is unique, but you might enjoy freshly baked stroopwafels from a 200-year-old bakery, artisanal Gouda paired with local liquor in a historic merchant house cellar, hand-cut Dutch fries with creamy mayo or satay sauce, colonial Indonesian treats or Surinamese street snacks, famous Dutch chocolates, zesty herring with onions (before 16:00), and a toast with traditional jenever or European wines. Our guides curate tastings based on their personal favorites — so no two tours are ever the same.
  • Kids friendly: You may bring a stroller, but we sometimes will need to park it outside for a brief moment.
  • We offer vegetarian and pescetarian alternatives, ensuring everyone's dietary needs are met. Gluten-free options are not always possible, but available at most stops for tours starting 16:00 or earlier. To accommodate special requirements, inform us at booking and remind your guide at the start of the tour.
  • Most guides also have paypal / venmo for a digital tip.
  • Tour starts inside Gastrovino cheese shop in the wine basement.
  • Herring available until 16:00 start time due to opening times.

  • We’re a small local company and take great pride in what we do — but we’re not perfect. If something didn’t meet your expectations, please contact us within 24 hours so we can make it right. Before posting a negative review, give us a chance to help. We truly care.
  • Private Amsterdam Food Tour Option: Includes hotel/ship pickup, custom food route (Jordaan, Nine Streets, Red Light District), flexible start time, private guide, mobility options, and full dietary customization — ideal for gluten-free, vegetarian & pescatarian travelers.
  • Walking food tour: This tour covers approximately 1.5 miles (2.5 km) on foot with at least 5 tasting stops along the way. Not all stops have seating available, so guests ideally should be comfortable walking and standing. Also eateries might have steps and small stairs. Mobility challenges? For a shorter route a private tour is recommended (please inform us! ).
  • Allergies: Most stops offer excellent vegetarian and pescatarian options. Gluten-free is possible at ~70% of stops before 16:00 — for a fully gluten-free Amsterdam food tour, the private option is best so we can design every stop around you. Peanut, shellfish, and nut allergies are usually not a problem, but please tell us so we can confirm with venues (e.g., ask to skip pesto). Share any allergies in the special wishes section when booking, and kindly remind your guide at the start of the tour. While most venues are accommodating, cross-contamination is possible in shared kitchens.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
