Most of its buildings date back to Roman times. Sagalassos was first discovered in 1706 by French traveler Paul Lucas. Key sites include the ancient residences, baths, furnaces, Lower Agora (bazaar), fountain, Odeon, theater, Hellenistic fountain, ceramic production center, Upper Agora, parliament building, temple, and Cladius Gate.
