Catacombs Of Kom El ShoqafaOur next step is to visit the famous old Roman Catacombs of Kom Ashoqafa, considered as one of the seven medieval wonders of the world and the largest known roman burial site in Egypt. The Catacombs are cut out of rock in the shape of circular shaft including three levels with a spiral staircase to a depth of about 35m with features unlike that of any other catacomb in the ancient world. You will experience a combination between the ancient Egyptian and the ancient Roman art.

The Citadel was built to protect Egypt from the advance of the ottoman empire. From the top of the citadel, you will experience a Stunning sea views with a foreground of small fishing boats and in the distance, the sun- like disk of the new library.
