Overview
Our trip takes us through the picturesque Troodos Mountains, known for lush forests and fresh air. At the foot of Troodos Mountains lies Omodos, a charming village with cobbled streets and the Timios Stavros Monastery, home to a relic of the Holy Cross.
Our route will pass through Pedoulas and Prodromos villages before heading to the famous Kykkos Monastery, founded in the 11th century. One of the richest monasteries in Cyprus, it houses the revered Virgin Mary icon, said to be painted by St. Luke. The monastery offers breathtaking views of the countryside.
Nearby, we will visit the Tomb of Archbishop Makarios on Mount Throni (1,318m), overlooking Kykkos Monastery (1,140m). His final resting place offers stunning views of Cyprus and is a key pilgrimage site.
Lastly, we will stop at a winery to taste Commandaria, Zivania, and other local wines.

OmodosOmodos is a picturesque village located in the Troodos Mountains of Cyprus. The village is known for its traditional architecture, cobblestone streets, and charming village square, which is surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shops.

Kykkos MonasteryWe will drive through the mountain villages of Pedoulas and Prodromos to the richest and most famous monastery of the island, Kykkos Monastery. One of the miraculous icons of the Virgin Mary, which is said to have been painted by St. Luke during her lifetime, is kept here. After that, you will have a chance to do some shopping of local product in the square in front of the monastery.

The Tomb of Archbishop Makarios III is located on mount Troni, which rises above the Kykkos monastery. Makarios was the country`s spiritual leader and most respected politician after independence in 1960. The height of the mountain of Throni is 1318 meters. The Tomb of Archbishop Makarios III is an important historical and cultural site in Cyprus and serves as a reminder of the Archbishop's legacy and contributions to the country.
