The large ballroom was redesigned in a neo-Gothic style in 1878 by the Graz architect, Georg Hauberisser, who also planned the interior of the new town hall in Munich. A circulating painting executed by 4 Munich artists impressively leads back to what was probably the most glorious time in Landshut. It shows the procession with bridal carriages during the Landshut wedding in 1475.

The late Gothic hall church with the highest brick tower (130.1 meters) in the world is one of the most important sacred buildings in southern Germany due to its dimensions and impressive spatial effect.
