Evening walking tour around Hussain Sagar Lake in Hyderabad
Overview
Visit Hussain Sagar Lake – one of the largest artificial lakes in Asia. This incredible lake was excavated, way back in 1562 AD, during the rule of Quli Qutb Shah. The lake also forms a connecting link between Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Majestically rising from the middle of the lake, a 16 metre tall statue of Lord Buddha seems to dominate the surroundings. There are a couple of other highly popular attractions nearby – Sanjeevaiah Park in the north and Lumbini Park in the south. Both these places are bordered by the lake. The calm surrounds have a deeply soothing effect upon the senses.
