Ascensor Reina VictoriaThe funiculars are one of the highlights of Valparaíso. This is the city with more of them worldwide. They are 2 small wooden cars that go up and down at the same time on diagonal rails, connected with a flexible steel cable, specially built to help local people and travelers to reach the hills. The Reina Victoria funicular was built in 1902 and it is the shortest and steepest funicular in Valparaíso, but don't worry, it's located right in front of the cemetery, just in case!
