The large basilica is placed, according the tradition over the Virgin Mary's house, where the Annunciation happened. The unexpectable architecture, different artwork gifts from different countries and communities, and, of course, the holy place, the Cave of Annunciation itself. But why is it so new and what can we see below? How did Nazareth look like at Jesus' days?
  • St. Joseph's Church
Traditionally, it is a place of St. Josef's workshop where he taught Jesus to be a carpenter. But, what did Jesus actually do all his Nazareth's years? What did this place used to be? And what is the Jewish mikveh doing in the crypt?
  • Nazareth
The biggest city of Galilee, the place where Christians and Muslims live together. We'll walk through the streets, the square and the market. And what about trying some coffee and sweets?
  • The spring of Nazareth, the place where people, including the Virgin, had always taken water before the water supply system was centralized, was the meeting place for people of Nazareth. It is also the symbol of the city. (pass by)
  • The small town, that used to be a central city of the area during the times of Jesus, the place where Jesus made his first miracle, turned water into wine. We'll see the spring of Cana, the place where the water was taken, and churches around the traditional place of the first miracle on our way from Nazareth to the Sea of Galilee. (pass by)
  • We'll pass by Magdala, the remains of the town on the Sea of Galilee where Jesus met Mary Magdalena who was born there. (pass by)
  • The place where the famous Sermon on the Mount was said by Jesus. We'll see the church built by Italian master Antonio Barluzzi on a top of it, and then we'll come down to Tabgha to seeing the Church of the Multiplication and the remains of Byzantine church dedicated to the Sermon of the Mount. (pass by)
  • Church of the Multiplication
The traditional place where Jesus fed 5000 people by multiplication of 5 loaves of bread and 2 fishes. We'll visit the modern replica of the Byzantine church with a real floor from the fifth century, including the famous mosaic of Loaves and Fishes. But why is the floor partly black in white and partly in color? And why are there only four loaves of bread at the famous mosaic?
  • Capharnaum the Town of Jesus
Capernaum - The Town of Jesus, the place where Jesus spent three years of his life after he left Nazareth, the place where he made on the biggest part of miracles, walked on the water and met five of his twelve disciples. And also, an abandoned place after the horrible earthquake happened in the eighth century. We'll visit the Whight Synagogue built over the Synagogue of Jesus, the remains of Domus Ecclesia, the Byzantine Church built over St. Peter's house and the ultra-modern "suspended" church built over them. Why did St. Mattew work as a tax collector in the town? Why is the Synagogue near the Church and why does it look like a Roman building? And why is it the only white building here?
  • Sea of Galilee
The biggest lake of Israel, full of fresh water and fish, the place of many Bibles' stories, surrounded by Galilee, the Jordan Valley and the Golan Heights. What do we see around us? Is it completely fresh? And why do we call it in Hebrew Kinneret? Let's touch the water!
  • Yardenit
The Baptismal Site on the Jordan river. Feel the unique atmosphere of the place, look at the colors of nature. If you want to get baptized here, you have time and opportunity. If you don't, you can see as the others do and enjoy the place. Try the local products made of dates. But is this the real place of Jesus baptism and why do we have two baptismal sites on the same river?
