Parque Arqueologico De RaqchiVisit the Temple of Wiracocha, one of the most impressive Inca archaeological sites along the route. This sacred location is dedicated to Wiracocha, the supreme creator deity of the Inca civilization. Explore the extensive ruins featuring the largest collection of colcas (traditional Inca storehouses) and admire the monumental constructions built with both finely carved stone and sun-dried adobe bricks. Sun protection like hats and sunscreen is recommended due to exposure at the site.

San Pedro Apostol de AndahuaylillasThis beautiful 17th-century church is often called the “Sistine Chapel of the Americas” thanks to its stunning murals, abundant gold leaf decoration, and masterpieces from the Cusco School of art.

La Raya PassThis high pass marks the border between the Cusco and Puno regions and reaches an altitude of 4,335 meters above sea level. From here you can see the famous Chimboya glacier, known as one of the headwater areas where the Amazon River begins.

Museo Litico PukaraThis ancient culture flourished between the 4th and 16th centuries on a high plateau about 106 kilometers northeast of Puno. In this fascinating museum you can see pottery and sculptures of zoomorphic figures, including the famous figure of the Hatun Ñaqaq, which means “The Supreme Executioner” in the local language.
