Overview
The excursion to Tropical Taino Garden is the opportunity for you to get to know the nature of the country, the Dominican culture and the lifestyle in the Dominican countryside. The routes in the forest have a total of 2.5 kilometers of path under the natural shade created by the trees. From a natural spring the water runs through the forest, feeding every plant and tree. The area is more than 250,000 square meters.

Puerto Plata ProvinceWe bring you to the small village of Tubagua at the beautiful mountain road from Puerto Plata to Santiago with marvelous ocean and mountain views, just over half an hour drive from Puerto Plata and 45 minutes from Amber Cove. In the “Taino Valley Tropical Park” you will find a lush forest, full of tropical flowers and trees, a flowing creek along easy to hike trails (2.5 Km / 1.6 M) with breathtaking mountain views, a small lake and information about the Taino culture. After your walk in the forest, you relax and enjoy a traditional lunch at the nearby “Casa Antigua” Restaurant situated in an authentic Dominican house of over 100 years old.
