Overview
The village of Imlil (1,740m) is located in the center of the High Atlas, almost in the shadow of Mount Toubkal (4,167m), the highest point in northern Africa. The village has become the most popular starting point for big mountain ascents and for a wide range of less demanding hikes and treks.

Imlil Day Tripsa hike east to Tizi n'Tamatert (2272m) and through wheat fields and orchards of walnut, apple and cherry trees to the village of Tamatert (1810m).

Imlil Day TripsOnce through the village, take a path that climbs through pine and juniper woods; Stop at Tizi to admire the valleys of Imlil and Imenane, the latter with its many Berber terraced villages precariously hidden on the slopes that surround you.

Imlil Day TripsOnce refreshed, return to Douar Samra, towards the oldest Berber village in this once isolated region, Tacheddirt, then via Ouaneskra and the other side of the valley, passing through the villages of Tamegguist and Tinghourine, with the upsetting Jbel Bou. Iguenouane (3882m), Tizi n'Likemt (3615m), Aksoual (3842m) and Azrou n'Tamadot (3664m) until a warm return to your accommodation in Marrakech.
