IquitosAfter being picked up at our hotel in Iquitos, we’ll head into the jungle to board a boat and begin our tour along the Amazon River. During the trip, we’ll admire the lush vegetation of the rainforest. With a little luck, we’ll spot native wildlife such as the tiny marmoset, sloths, poison dart frogs, or the black caiman. Next, we’ll visit a snake sanctuary to observe fascinating species like the anaconda from a safe distance, followed by a tasting of traditional liqueurs made from tree bark and roots. A typical Amazonian lunch will be served at a local restaurant before meeting the Yahua people, who will introduce us to their culture, dances, and rituals. To conclude the adventure, we’ll set out in search of the river’s famous pink dolphins before returning to your hotel in Iquitos.
