  • Remuh Synagogue (Synagoga Remuh)
    We will start our visit in the former town of Kazimierz, since 1800 it is one of Cracow's districts. Szeroka Street has been a center of Jewish religious, cultural and political life througout the centuries. Optionally, we can enter the 16th century Remuh Synagogue with its adjacent Jewish cemetery from the same time period - one of the oldest Jewish cemetaries in Europe. It is the place of eternal rest of Jewish sages, such as Rabbi Moses and Natan Spira.
  • Kazmierz The Former Jewish District
    We will pass near Isaac's Synagogue, cross Nowy Square to reach a very famous patio between Józefa and Meiselsa streets which appears in "Schindler's List" by Steven Spielberg.
  • Wawel Royal Castle
    While on the Wawel Hill we will admire the Royal Castle's patio from 16th century. This masterpiece of architecture, work of Francesco Fiorentino and Bartolomeo Berrecci is a perfect example of renaissance style.
  • Wawel Cathedral
    Optionally, we can enter the Cathedral dedicated to Saint Stanislas and Saint Venceslas. The Cathedral has more than one thousand years of history, it was the place of coronation of Polish kings and served as their burial site.
  • Bazylika i Klasztor Franciszkanow
    Walking down the oldest streets of Cracow, Kanonicza and Grodzka we will reach the gothic basilica of Franciscan friars where we will admire the polychromy and modernist stained glass windows designed by Stanislas Wyspiański.
  • Collegium Novum
    Afterwards we will enter the universitary quarter with an impressive 19th century building of Collegium Novum that is the seat of rector of the Jagiellonian University.
  • Later on we will discover some medieval buildings of the former Cracow Academy, which was funded in 1364 by king Casimir the Great, today known as Jagiellonian University. Collegium Maius is the oldest university building from 15th century, it was here where Nicolaus Copernicus, a famous Polish astronomer, studied
  • Afterwards we will see famous Rynek - Main Market Square, which is the largest medieval square in Europe. It dates back to 1257 and was traced after a disastrous Mongolian invasion which had ravaged Cracow in 1241. We will enter the Cloth Hall, which is an old textile market, dating back to 13th century. The building was remodelled in 16h century, thanks to Santi Gucci, a Florentine artist.
  • St Mary's Basilica
    Optionally we can visit the Saint Mary's Basilica, which was the most important city of Cracow's bourgeoisie. Inside we can find an impressive wooden High Altar from 15th century, which was carved in linden wood by a German artist Veit Stoss. Scenes from the lives of Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ are shown in it, a true gothic masterpiece.
  • Next to the Basilica we will listen to the famous "Hejnał" that is an old melody that till nowadays is played each hour four times from the highest tower of the church.
  • After walking down Floriańska Street we will finish our visit next to the city walls that date back to 14th century with Saint Florian's Gate and the adjacent Barbican.
