As a Japanese Buddhist holy site, the ancient temples stand quietly, offering a Pure Land-like realm that soothes the heart. *Please note that the admission fee for Kongobu-ji Temple is 1,000 yen for junior high school students and older, and 300 yen for elementary school students, paid separately.
  • Tokugawa's Mausoleum
    The Tokugawa Family Mausoleum is a memorial dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Edo Shogunate, and Tokugawa Hidetada, the second shogun.
  • Koyasan Okunoin
    After visiting Kongobu-ji Temple, take a bus to the entrance of the Ichiji Bridge approach path to Okunoin. Okunoin is a place of profound religious, historical, and cultural significance, as it houses the mausoleum of Kobo Daishi. It has a pilgrimage path and a cemetery, making it a sacred place for spiritual purification.
  • Niutsuhime Shrine
    Niutsuhime Shrine is located at the foot of Mount Koya in the Amano Basin, at an elevation of 450 meters, and is a World Heritage site with over 1,700 years of history. Here, a goddess of warding off evil is enshrined. Every April, a festival called the "Hanasakari Festival" is also held.
